My name is Joanne House and I am indeed The Knitting House!

I have been able to knit ever since I was a child, but it wasn't until a couple of years ago after I had my two girls that I truly rekindled my love of knitting. I love the fact that with two humble sticks and a ball of yarn you can create whatever you choose.

Knitting for babies and young children is so rewarding...there is nothing more exciting than lovingly handknitting a pair of tiny booties for a baby who is not even born yet!

Beautifully handknitted items make the perfect family heirlooms. Buy them, use them, but most of all LOVE and CARE for them...then pass them on to the next generation.
